Dr. Timothy Howes, Ph.D., co-inventor of LDAP and numerous patents, leads innovation on ClearStory’s Spark-based data analysis platform. A respected entrepreneur and computer scientist, he was a co-founder of Loudcloud/Opsware and Rockmelt and previously served as VP of Engineering at Yahoo and CTO of HP Software and Netscape’s Server Products Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering and a Ph.D. in Computer Science, all from the University of Michigan.
Ali has more than 20 years of experience leading enterprise product development. Most recently co-founded and served as CPO and VP of Analytics at Model N, a leading provider of revenue management solutions that went public in 2013. He was a product and program manager at NetDynamics, acquired by Sun Microsystems, which pioneered the first Java-based application server. Ali earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Northwestern University, and his graduate degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
Soumitro has more than 20 years of engineering experience at both startups and large companies. Most recently, he served as VP Engineering at Clari, a startup that builds applications to increase sales team productivity through predictive analytics and mobile application delivery. Prior to Clari, Soumitro was the VP of Engineering and Support at Clearwell Systems, the recognized leader in electronic discovery software, leading up to its acquisition by Symantec for more than $400 million. Earlier in his career, he worked on various middleware products at IBM, Informix and Centerview Software.
Deirdre has more than two decades of experience in software sales and new market development. Prior to ClearStory Data, she served as SVP and General Manager, West Region for SAP where she led direct and indirect license and subscription sales, presales, partners and ecosystems. She joined SAP from AsterData Systems, where she launched sales efforts for a big data database appliance, led sales teams at Business Objects and held sales and leadership roles at E.piphany, Sybase and others.
Jim has over 30 years of experience overseeing finance at first-class enterprise companies, streamlining operations, raising capital and consummating mergers & acquisitions. Most recently, Jim was CFO at MobileIron, positioning its initial public offering. Prior to MobileIron, Jim had been intimately involved in 5 IPO’s and numerous mergers and acquisitions of technology companies. Jim began his finance career as a public accountant with Ernst and Young.
